Lizzy Lawrence leads STAT's coverage of the Food and Drug Administration. She was previously a medical devices reporter. Earlier in her career, she wrote about Silicon Valley workplaces and productivity tools for tech news site Protocol. Before that, she covered local breaking news for the Baltimore Sun and public health for Kaiser Health News. In 2020, she served as editor-in-chief of The Michigan Daily, her school’s independent newspaper. Lizzy lives in Washington, D.C., but is a New Yorker at heart.
