Disability in Health Care Reporting Fellow
Timmy Broderick is the inaugural STAT disability in health care reporting fellow. Before coming to STAT, they worked as an intern at WNYC’s Radiolab and Scientific American, and their story debunking a bogus theory about transgender kids was nominated for a 2024 GLAAD Media Award. Timmy graduated from Kenyon College with a degree in philosophy and later completed a master's degree in science, health and environmental reporting at New York University. Their writing has also appeared in New Scientist, Fatherly, Slate, and Retraction Watch.
